A New Website to Mark 70 Years
Seventy years ago, Lance Thew and Harold McCann started their small, two-man company in Sydney to service the Australian electrical supply industry. Innovator犀利士
s throughout the 1950s, their innovative spirit lives on in us today. This continued commitment to our brand promise of Active Innovation – pushing boundaries, innovating, always looking for a better way – is why we remain trusted partners to the Energy Sector today.
Thew & McCann’s (now known as TMAC) first major project was the establishment of a supply chain for powerline hardware for the NSW Electricity Supply Industry. In the late 1960s the company expanded into Queensland and Northern Australia, headed by Norm Pearce.
Norm Pearce went on to purchase the company and lay the foundation of TMAC’s ‘Active Innovation’ brand promise. He developed a national profile of the company and introduced a broader range of higher technology products, many designed and developed by TMAC. These products covered key areas of customer demand including asset management, field operations safety equipment and materials supply.
Today, Norm’s son Peter Pearce heads the company. With a strong background in design and development, TMAC has become an integral and trusted partner to our many customers in the energy and allied sectors. We walk hand in hand with our customers, who themselves are evolving their operations to meet industry challenges and opportunities such as the Future Grid.
To mark our 70 years in the industry, we’ve launched a new website. We are proud of how far TMAC has come. We are a company with a highly skilled, passionate and committed team; still pushing boundaries and going above and beyond to not only meet but exceed customer expectations.
We continue to believe there’s always a better way.
